I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving break. Thank you to those who donated apple cider or visited our 2nd Grade rock show, the students had a lovely time showcasing their learning and their classroom. This week we will begin our social studies unit of the United States regions. Next week I will be sending home our class play and a c.d. of our play songs. The 2nd grade reading homework next week until the end of January will be reading the play, practicing and memorizing the songs and memorizing play lines. Roles are decided at random. Students will indicate preferred roles next week and names are randomly drawn from a hat. When a student’s name is drawn, he or she can pick their play role. We will begin play rehearsals in January. I look forward to a wonderful play process in 2nd grade.
